Marks and Spencer! What a lovely surprise! Wonderful for well priced knitwear, bags and shoes. If you can ignore the department store feel and some of the slightly fustier designs, there are many treats to be had in this store. M&S is like a trusted friend that you can rely on season after season. Loads of clothes, bags and shoes have come home to live in our wardrobes!

They tend to go light on both Bling and Branding. Two nasties! Often the leather bags are good value and the designs in the last few years have been reliably stylish. The man made bags are also better quality than you might get in other high street stores. - Footwear.
They are often better at winter shoes than summer and their boots are probably their flagship footwear. - Shoes £35+

Purchase With Care
Per Una
The problem with Per Una is that it is just a bit twee. Their distinctive style tends to be embellishment, this could be stitching details, a corsage, ribbons, textured fabrics etc. These embellishments, unfortunately, don't quite work and are often a little bit middle ageing. If you shop at Per Una, you are guaranteed to see someone twice your age wearing exactly the same thing....don't do it! Per Una also love to brand their product...avoid at all cost!
Try on your clothes
Check the fit. Although M & S are striving to ensure their clothes are of a high quality and a good fit, watch out for ample sizing on the hips if you have a young boy's figure!
Boobage measurement
If you are measured at M&S and come out with a large back and tiny cup size this measurement is slightly skewed. You will know that it's time to take yourself to Bravissimo, Rigby and Peller or one similar. You may find you get more than you bargained for in cup size!
Jewellery
We are still not 100% sure about their jewellery accessories. They are a bit tame we feel! Definitely avoid their plastic chrome designs.
