What fun can be had with jackets, from short Bolero with bell sleeves to boyfriend blazers and belted lovelies. Winter woolen jackets soften your look and add interest. You don't have to make a huge investment to buy a great jacket and so they are a fabulous way of giving a nod to the latest fashion whilst not splashing too much cash. There is some fabulous tailoring out on the high street that will seriously elevate the chic factor in your wardrobe. Shape your body with your jacket!
For Rounded and Voluptuous
If you don't have a waist or need to emphasise your gorgeous curves, then choose a jacket with a waistband that will cinch you in and then flare out to disguise the tummy area. A single breasted jacket with cute lapels will look great for you as will a jacket that buttons just below the chest, disguising the lack of waist.
Waistless and boobless...you poor darling
If you have a boy's figure with little boobage and no waist then a a bolero, boxy jacket with bell sleeves will balance out your skimpy top half.
Hippy Chick
If you have biggish hips then you don't want your top half to look tiny in comparison .Choose jackets that will give you breadth, so avoid belted jackets that could cinch you in too much but look for single breasted, tailored jackets with broad lapels.
Avoid loose jackets
Loose jackets are designed for skimpy waisted model figures ..avoid them at all cost if you have any curves or have no waist!
A few thoughts when shopping for a fabulous jacket
Add some interest
Jackets should add a touch of interest to any outfit. I particularly love wool jackets because of their textural interest. If you are going for a neutral toned jacket consider the textures of the material and whether you want a soft or a sharp look.
Invest in the tailoring
Jackets show off brilliant tailoring so if you are buying a No Knickers neutral plain jacket the tailoring is really important. If you are buying a patterned or a highly textured jacket then the material may distract from the bad tailoring but be careful!
Watch the details
Jackets with a cheap material corsage aren't really the answer..the corsage tends to give away the price. If you love the jacket but hate the corsage..check whether a pair of scissors will help but Be Careful!!
