Never my fave colour, I have to admit. Although I may be forced to embrace this hue of orange for the Summer ahead. My problem doesn't lie with the colour itself. It is the way in which I remember it from my childhood that has always put me off. I have a vague memory of my maternal grandmother wearing the colour badly. Now my grandmother had impeccable taste. That is not disputed. It is just this once that she fell down in the fashion stakes and my young fashion eye must have picked up on it! Am I rambling on. I think so, so I shall stop now.
Anyway I have reached a compromise. I will pay homage to this SS colour by wearing bits and pieces of the colour. I bought a fab set of three bracelets from Melting Hearts last night. One of them is a vibrant orange colour - okay, it's not coral but close enough for me!
I am keen on tops for the Summer with flecks of coral through them or a floral number (a big trend this season) with coral dancing through the fabric. This Remedi silk chiffon top appeals to me - a touch of 'coral' without overwhelming me!
