Sarong free this summer

I never look that great on the beach...mostly because I just don't have the kind of body and skin that looks its best in that environment. I look much better at an afternoon tea party with vintage bunting and british weather! I would like to think I have the skin of an English rose ...but actually I am just pale, a bit blotchy and therefore look a bit lardy on a meditteranean beach in the sun!

New Look Strapless dress perfect for the beach! Normally to hide my vanilla toned body I find a huge piece of fabric to drape myself  and wrap it around my body in a myriad of different ways..but no longer...I have found something that is easy to wear and lots of fun ...and it's really cheap...a strapless beach dress for £8!! Don't worry about the strapless bit ...this one from New Look is secured well with a double layer of elastic to stop any physical fall out!! The support is great for big boobs or small and the length of the skirt is great too!  These New Look dresses are perfect with a little flip flop to take you off the beach and into the taverna. They come in a variety of colours but watch out for some colour ways because they can look shockingly cheap, the blue and white stripy one exposes the thin fabric and won't do many of us any favours!

I will probably substitute the beach dress with another beach favourite ...a long boyfriend sized white shirt. The white sirt is perfect for a less body confident day but needs to be kept crisp white otherwise can look a bit , sweaty and grungy...not the look for Club Med!

Roll on summer days ..even if a summer holiday is a dream away ...one can still dream!

Let me know what you like to wear as a cover up on the beach...I would love to hear your beach wear tips!

Happy days ladies xx
