Be My Valentine with Anna Valentine!
FCaNK has a new beau! Anna Valentine and isn't it an apt name for this time of year! Anna is unbelievably fabulous and anyone who has a Fur Coat budget should add her to their shopping list. She is London's best kept secret and works from a tiny little town house in Marylebone. Anna's work is original and bespoke and she gives oodles of time to each client on an appointment only basis. Valentine's accessories are tantalising, with Anna often playing with textures and colours to produce an incredible statement piece. Valentine's work raises the bar for FCaNK in terms of other labels. We are simply besotted and are captivated by this elusive designer's incredible couture. Busy Yourselves Ladies
We cannot afford to tarry just because this is the season of new love! It's time to roll over and begin to make room for the Spring/ Summer reinvention! Obviously, the weather is still a bit raw and so we are not advocating packing away our woolens just yet but...it's time to have a peek at your Spring/Summer gear and evaluate which looks you are going for next season. The most important items for the transition into Spring are shoes! The time is nigh when we can even dare to think about pulling our lonely shoes out of the cupboard! Now's the time to check out last year's converse trainers, ballet flats and your retro pumps. These are your Spring transition staples...so have them at the ready just in case the weather begins to turn! FCaNK love Ash trainers at Javari. They have plenty of character and bundles of charm but aren't quite heading into the ridiculous land of the high colour altitude ankle boot trainers that have taken centre stage recently. Fur Coat is loving her sequinned Converse trainers. A perfect addition for Spring/Winter transition. You can find these lovelies at Melting Hearts.
FCaNK love the peep toe boot or the shoe boot which is another great piece of transition footwear. No Knickers will wear them with opaque tights to hide her hideous cankles! No Knickers is really excited that 'The Wedge' is back for the Summer...perfect to balance out her elephant bones!! More about that in our summer newsletters! Boyfriend shoes are a cute little addition for Winter - Spring footwear. We love the Lita Grey and Brown H by Hudson Brogues, especially the irony in the design and the softness of the leather is to be adored. Fur Coat for your feet! Thanks to Wren & Co for this picture! Sorry we cannot give you a direct link to the H By Hudson shoes but hop on the Hudson bus and follow the links to the Ladies collection! No Knickers will be buying some cheaper boyfriend shoes and completing the Hudson look with a cute piece of Liberty fabric/ribbon...clever huh! These Faith shoes might work...if you like pink! Wear your boyfriend brogues with an oversized blazer and an on trend scarf, oh and a picnic ..think punting past St. Cats in Cambridge ...just without the straw boater..fabulous darling!Another shoe that is just fab for the coming months is the peeptoe shoe. You are covered but show just a bit of naughtiness. Fur Coat has uncovered a fab US pair by Jessica Pritchett. You can find the shoe at Jessica's website and yes, she does ship to the U.K.! Spoil your loved one with a batch of Lola's Cupcakes
We know that Valentine's Day is over, but...cupcakes are a fantastic gift to give at ANY time of the year. Fur Coat just sent her darling husband (and his lucky collegues) a batch of 12 mini and VERY cute cupcakes from Lolas Kitchen! They are fab in every way. The way they look (sparkly, cute), the way they taste (a really yummy recipe is used!) and their packaging! Oh, so, so good!
