Glorious Designer Discount Shopping!

There is one No Knickers superstore that we really haven't gone into much detail on and that is the simply delicious T K Maxx. If your tastes run to designers like Valentino, Cavelli or Joseph, then look no further than this fab fashion store.

The Credit Crunch has made it even better with more and more designer goods hitting the stores every day.  I popped in there today to try and find a set of photo frames. Which I did, at a fab price and they look great on my shelves!  Now for those of you who know me well, you will not be surprised to know that I had a bit of a peruse of the fashion aisles as well! For an autumnal snuggle,  I found the most gorgeous slate grey pair of yummy pjs by the now defunct American designer Carole Little . They are so soft with a gorgeous frilled feminine neckline.  Check them out at your local store.

I have also picked up a gorgeous Valentino long cream cable knit cardigan/jacket for a fraction of its original price. A Tommy Hilfiger jacket has just found it's way into my wardrobe for just £30. Reduced from £175. Nice one!

A couple of 'Fur Coat' tips on shopping at this Aladdin's Cave.

• Firstly, visit the store on a Monday. This is usually when they take delivery of their biggest stock delivery for the week.
• Secondly, purchase a few months ahead of the season.
(For example now is a good time to think about ski gear as the stores are now stocking them!! I  know it is only September but ....it'll be worth it for extra Schnapps on the slopes!)

• Thirdly...don't be such a snob! Just because the place looks like a car boot sale and smells like an armpit, doesn't mean you can't have some 'Fur Coat' fun! If you need to live it up..take a very rich friend and a glass of champagne and you will be roaring in those shopping aisles!
  
• Fourthly, use your rich friend to bag you a slot in the never ending queue..it's far too depressing to spend a modicum of time in a TK Maxathon cash till line up!
• Last tip - follow the shop assistants around when they are either re stocking or putting clothes back. They may have some gems in their hands. The same rule applies to the change rooms. Check out the rail at the entry to the rooms, which has all the clothes on that have been tried on in the changing rooms.
  

I finish off with a tale of an exquisite purchase I made from their designer section. Now watch these designer clothes racks carefully, some irridescent jewels can sometimes appear. My particular jewel came in the form of a cream silk shirt embroidered with black filligree design . It was by a designer called Catharine Malandrino. It was a jaw dropping £540 reduced to an equally jaw dropping price of £69.99!!! I snapped it up very quickly!

So take a trip to your local and see what gems you might find!
